Family emergency plan
The plan everyone can follow when phones are down: who checks in with whom, where you meet, and what responders need to know. Fill it in once, keep it current, and print it — paper works when nothing else does.
This plan never leaves your device.
It's saved only in this browser — we can't see it, and clearing browser data erases it. So finish it, then print two copies: one for the fridge, one for the go-bag.
Household members
Include medical conditions, medications, and allergies — responders look for this.
Out-of-town check-in contact
Long-distance lines often work when local ones are jammed. Everyone texts this person to report in.
Other emergency contacts
Neighbors, school, workplace, doctor, veterinarian.
Meeting places
Pick all three now — you can't coordinate them once phones are down.
Home & utility shut-offs
Where are the gas valve, water main, and breaker panel? Note the tools they need.
Medical & insurance
Doctor and pharmacy numbers, insurance carrier and policy numbers.
Pets
Names, carriers, food, vet, and which shelters take animals.
